Chumash (chavrusa, partnered learning style)

This course provides penetrating insights into selected sections of the Chumash by dissecting each passage verse by verse, and analysing them through the eyes of a wide spectrum of classic and contemporary commentaries, particularly those of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Understand why the age old teachings of the Torah are so highly relevant to our modern lives and the way we interact with other people.

Participants are able to penetrate sections of the chumash by dissecting each passage verse by verse with their study partners and analysing them through classic and contemporary commentaries. Students should expect to gain familiarity with biblical stories, understand their relevance to modern times and gain textual and Hebrew skills enabling them to tackle Jewish texts on their own.
