Welcome to Merkos Women Inc

The Rebbe had confidence in the unlimited potential of the Jewish woman to influence her family and surroundings. As the akeres habayis (the foundation of the home), the manner in which a woman builds her home has a strong impact on future generations. In order to prepare for this vital task, it is essential for her to invest in solid Jewish understanding and practice. She can then be a flowing fountain of knowledge - imparting to her family and wider community the beauty and richness of the Jewish heritage.

The aim of the Merkos Women program is to provide women with a solid jewish education. Guided by Mashpia and Rav of the program Reb Arel Serebryanski the program covers topics from the text in an indepth and systematic way so that significant text is covered and serious learning is acheived in areas of Halacha, Chassidus and Chumash.

The participants in the Merkos house are from diverse backgrounds. Some are from very observant homes and some have commited to an observant lifestyle at a later stage. However, what unites both groups is a real thirst for growth and learning in their Yiddish Keit. Both groups are inspired by each other. In both groups the flame of Yiddish Keit has been awakened and both types of girls learn from each other. 

Named after Rebbetzin Brocha Serebryanski who was a pillar of support to her family and community, the Merkos house is designed to give participants the experience of living in a truly warm and Chassidic home.
